Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs, Colorado, is a haven for those looking to get out of the metropolitan madness and into a calm, tree-filled area. All of the surrounding places and attractions can be experienced with a constant dose of refreshing mountain air. Colorado Springs has a healthy amount of history, and a chunk of it is directly related to America's involvement in World War II. The Air Force took the land owned by Colorado Springs next to the airfield and leased it, and units were established within the limits of the city. The neighborhood of West Colorado Springs is a large one that starts just north of the Kissing Camels Golf Course. West Colorado Springs is bordered by the I-25 to the east, West Uintah Street and just south of Red Rock Canyon to the south, and the Hurricane Canyon Natural Area and Mount Manitou to the west.
