Kinnear
Kinnear is an unincorporated community located in Fremont County, central Wyoming. The area is framed by a variety of interesting geographical features. To the north are the Owl Creek Mountains, to the west the Wind River Valley, and to the southwest the Wind River Mountains. Heading east takes you over the Beaver Rim. The area was a popular hunting ground for indigenous peoples, particularly once game became scarce on the Midwestern plains. In the 1860s, gold brought a wave of settlers, many of whom soon turned to sheep ranching and agriculture. The area has a rugged beauty that makes it a wonderful destination for outdoor enthusiasts or anyone in search of a taste of the Old West.
