Lowes
The town of Lowes is a great area to enjoy if you are looking for an easier, simpler way of life in which to have a vacation. This town is considered to be a part of Graves County, in the state of Kentucky, with a population of about 98 people. However, everyone you meet throughout the town is friendly and accommodating, while there is plenty to do and a lot of history to engage in throughout the greater area of the town. While visitors are enjoying the town, however, there is plenty of beautiful scenery to behold, and southern hospitality to relish in. Even though the world is pretty straightforward here, as well as quiet, there is a comfort you will find about it that is unlike any other place in the world.
In addition to the benefits of the actual town, there have also been some very notable individuals whose early years were spent also enjoying what this area has to offer. Alben W. Barkley, who would become a Senator for Kentucky and later, Harry Truman’s Vice President, was born near the town of Lowes, while a very prominent inventor in the industry of plastics, J. Paul Hogan, was actually born in the town of Lowes.
