Twin Lakes
Nestled in the heart of the rugged natural beauty of the Colorado Rockies is the small community of Twin Lakes, Colorado. Twin Lakes is named such because the town is nestled on the historic shores to the two largest glacial lakes in the state. With striking views of Mount Elbert and Mount Hope, and access to Vail and Aspen, Twin Lakes is a quiet yet remarkable community. The history of Lake County and Twin Lakes dates back to Gold Rush days when Twin Lakes served as a stopover between Denver and Aspen. Surrounded by National Forest and some of the best skiing areas in the United States, Twin Lakes is certainly a must-visit community when traveling in the area. With less than 200 residents, the community is small and deeply reminiscent of its historical roots and charm.
