Liverpool
Liverpool is a small lakeside village in New York State. It has a very small population of only two thousand people. The name came from the corresponding Liverpool in the United Kingdom. It is actually situated on Onondaga Lake located in the western part of the state. The area was originally inhabited by Iroquois tribes in the 16th century after which French Canadians began to establish missions in the region. Soon the area was full of Irish canal workers which dubbed it “Little Ireland” temporarily. German immigrants flooded the region thereafter but today it is home for a mixture of wonderful people who are incredibly friendly to tourists. Now it is listed as a historic place and still offers many delicious restaurants and tourist attractions.
