La Mesa
Just 12 miles east of the Pacific Ocean, La Mesa, CA is a southern California town of just over 57,000. It’s known as the Jewel of the Hills and promises some of the better views available. Outside of that, La Mesa boasts a very active culture that fits right into the rest of SoCal. This is thanks in part to the various outdoor activities that you can take part in, which include but are not limited to fishing, biking, running, and boating.
As such, you’re bound to find a lot of people who like to be out and about in nature. It’s so much a part of the town that you’re bound to get swept up in it. It doesn’t hurt that its climate is known for being some of the best weather in the whole country, so you don’t have to be concerned with whether or not the weather will cooperate with the litanies of activities that you’re bound to partake in.
This is in addition to the various yearly events, such as their famed Oktoberfest, the Back to the 50s Car Show, Christmas in the Village, and the Flag Day Parade.
