Greensboro
, North Carolina is a large city of almost 300,000 located in the north central part of the state. The city has a rich history from its founding in 1808 through its place in history during the Civil War and also during the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.
Greensboro is also home to the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. It is headquarters of American Express Credit Services and houses a large regional hub of the United States Postal Service. Several other homes of higher learning are located in Greensboro as well, including Elon University School of Law, Bennett College, Greensboro College, Carolina Graduate School of Divinity, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, and Guilford Technical Community College.
