Victorville
Victorville is nicknamed the “Key City of the High Desert” as it's located right on the southwest edge of the Mojave Desert at over 2800 feet above sea level. Founded by Jacob Nash Victor, he fixed 30 miles of rail tracks to complete the second transcontinental railroad across the United States. This established the first Pacific Coast Terminal along the Santa Fe Route and helped Victorville grow in size. Today with a population of over 100,000 people, you'll find plenty to do, whether you're looking for a place to visit for the weekend or a place to call home.
