Monument Valley
Monument Valley is an area in the Colorado Plateau comprised of buttes made of sandstone and is located on the border of Arizona and Utah making the climate desert-like, so hot summers and cold winters, especially in this area due to the mountains. You can access Monument Valley via U.S. Highway 163 on the Navajo Nation Reservation. While you can pay an entry fee to Monument Valley, there are certain areas that are only accessible if you have a tour guide with you.
