West Jordan
West Jordan is a city in Salt Lake County, Utah that's named after the Jordan River and sits in the eastern foothills of the Oquirrh Mountains. One of the most rapidly growing cities in the state, in 1970 there were just over 4,000 people here and, now in 2010 census, over 100,000 people live here. This is why Sears has its headquarters and opened its first “grand location” here. Come to explore the museums, watch a sporting event, or go shopping.
Although with all this expansion, the area is still ripe with gorgeous outdoor activities. There are parks and trails in the city limits. You'll also see world-class mountains just minutes away with skiing, snowmobiling, snowboarding, hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, fishing, and boating. But West Jordan's downtown is in the heart of Salt Lake Valley, less than 20 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City, and is a great resting spot for exploring all the area has to offer.
