Gillette
Gillette is a city in Campbell County, Wyoming that is known for producing coal, oil, and coal bed methane gas. They are often called the “Energy Capital of the World.” Just this one part of the country produces about 35% of coal used by the nation, and just in the last decade alone the population has increased by about 48%. The well-known company Cloud Peak Energy is also based out of Gillette. In addition to being beautiful, this region of Wyoming is being developed with new parks, bridges, and housing due to its recent growth.
