Leipsic
Leipsic is a small town located inside of Kent County in the state of Delaware. It is considered part of the Dover statistical area with a total population of 183 residents. The total land area of the town is 0.3 square miles. There are roughly 79 households and 48 families living in this town. The name is based off of the German town of Leipzig. Originally it was named “Fast Landing” in honor of its origins as a fur trading town but this was changed to its current name. One notable resident is the railroad developer and Civil War general William Jackson Palmer.
