Salem
The capital city of the state of Oregon is Salem, which is also the third largest city in the state. Positioned along the beautiful Willamette River Valley, Salem has the Cascade Mountains to the east and the Ocean to the west; both of these destinations are only an hour's drive away. Salem has plenty of tall green trees and many tourists use it as a starting point when touring Oregon's Vineyards. Salem offers plenty of retail therapy too.Sunnyslope is a residential neighborhood located around 5 miles south of downtown Salem Center. Liberty Road southbound deviates to the west from Commercial Street SE, which leads to Sunnyslope. Liberty Road runs on the eastern border of Sunnyslope while Browning Avenue forms the northern boundary. Croisan Creek flows across the western border. Battle Creek and the Joryville County Park are located further south of the Sunnyslope area. Sunnyslope is a residential locality with parks, clinics, churches, and schools. Sprague High School is a sought after school in Salem, and is located in Sunnyslope. There are not too many commercial establishments in this place, however it is a quiet and peaceful neighborhood to spend a relaxed time walking around, enjoying the lush natural beauty of downtown Salem.
