Skokie
Skokie is located in Cook County, Illinois and is a Chicago suburb just to the north of the city. The suburb is home to just under 65,000 people and is close enough to Chicago to be connected via the Chicago Transit Authority. Historically Skokie had a large German population and later on during the mid-1960s the area had the largest Jewish population of any Chicago suburb. Skokie has just over 10 square miles of land and is bordered on various sides by Chicago as well as several other suburbs: Wilmette, Glenview, Morton Grove, Niles, Lincolnwood, and Evanston.
