Santa Monica

Santa Monica is a seaside community on the western oceanfront edge of L.A. It’s located 16 miles from downtown L.A., 8 miles from LAX, and is also a few miles from Hollywood and Beverly Hills. It’s one of the most desirable neighborhoods in L.A. as it’s a residential area close to the beach. There is a diverse mix of shopping, entertainment, recreation, dining, and beach activities with the 8 square miles that make up this city. There are more than 120 museums, galleries, and public art displays that will give you a broad choice of cultural activities. Third Street Promenade features a host of shopping and retail stores, plus dining and nightlife. The Santa Monica Pier features carnival-type rides, games, and activities right on the water overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Running through the city, Santa Monica Boulevard is also the West Coast part of the famed Route 66 that stretches all the way across the country.
