New Bedford
New Bedford is in Massachusetts, located inside of Bristol County. It is the sixth biggest city in the state. In the 19th century it served as the biggest whaling and fishing port in the entire world, which brought on the nickname of “The Whaling City”. The city consists of one of the largest coastal regions in the state and is home to the biggest community of Portuguese Americans in the United States. Today it is a thriving city with a unique accent, no doubt brought on by the aforementioned Portuguese community.
