Lincolnville
Lincolnville is located in the southeast region of South Carolina, situated in Charleston County with a small portion extending into Dorchestor County. As of the 2010 census, the town's population was approximately 1,140. The town is part of the Charleston- North Charleston-Summerville Metropolitan Statistical Area. Lincolnville was founded when seven black men left Charleston due to poor treatment and purchased 620 acres of land from the South Carolina Railroad, naming the community Lincolnville after they paid the debt and were granted a Charter in 1889.
