Broomfield
A suburb of Denver, Broomfield, Colorado is a city of about 56,000 residents. It is located on what is known as the “technology corridor” that is home to some of the most recognized names in the industry, such as Oracle and Level 3 Communications. These are also the top employers in the area. Technology has played a large part in the rapid growth of this area.
The city of Broomfield is still recovering in part from a devastating flood in September of 2013 that completely destroyed several area homes and collapsed a bridge that provided access to the city. This prompted the closure of US Highway 287, a major route through the area. But the residents here are resilient, and there is no doubt the damage will be repaired.
Residents here love the beautiful backdrop of the Rocky Mountains and the semi-arid climate. This is an affluent community with a median income of over $76,000 per household and a median family income of over $96,000. If you love snow, there is no better place in the world to be with top skiing destinations just a few miles away. With a number of colleges and universities nearby, there is plenty of appealing nightlife for all ages.
This city is unique in that it has an almost equal number of Republican, Democrat, and Independent voters. All in all, this is one of the most attractive places to live in the country.
