McLeansville
McLeansville is a community of approximately 1,021 residents in Guilford County, north central North Carolina. One of McLeansville's recent claims to fame is that it is the hometown of Chris Daughtry, who was a contestant on season 5 of American Idol. The area first attracted settlers in the 1740s, thanks to the fertile and affordable land that was available. Many of these settlers were Quakers, who remain in significant numbers throughout the region. In later years, many milling and educational facilities were established, which helped to ensure the region would continue to thrive economically. Today it is known as a great place to relax and be immersed in entertainment in North Carolina's picturesque heartland.
