Jamestown
Situated between Lake Erie and the Allegheny National Forest, Jamestown is a beautiful city of a little over 30,000 residents. Boasting many famous past residents, including comedienne Lucille Ball, the humble city is home to the beautiful Chautauqua Lake, a freshwater resource enjoyed by fishermen, boaters and naturalists. In the past, people from all over the world came here to attend furniture shows, and hence it was known as the "Furniture Capital of the World." The city is named after founder James Prendergast, who purchased 1,000 acres of land in the area in 1808.
