Elk Grove Village
Elk Grove Village is located in the northeastern part of Illinois. It is near the city of Chicago as well as O'Hare International Airport. The motto of the city is “the exceptional community” and it truly is that. It has a population of 33,000 people and earned its name from the herd of elk that reside in the Busse Woods Forest Preserve. It is this preserve that gave way to the city name. Originally, these elk are from Montana but it was the local resident Busse who brought them in the 1920's and today they remain. The city was incorporated in 1956 as a planned suburban community. Today is has the largest industrial park in America and a large hospital. Inside of that industrial park there are 3,600 businesses. This business park is also home to the biggest concentration of Midwestern manufacturers. The city is well regarded as friendly to businesses.
