Burlingame
Located in the San Francisco Peninsula, Burlingame is a suburb of the city of San Francisco and has a population of about 29,000. This small city is known as the “City Of Trees,” and it has a significant amount of shoreline on the Pacific Ocean. The city of Burlingame has beautiful Eucalyptus groves and an abundance of city parks that add even more to the visual appeal here.
Growth in the middle of the 20th Century of this area was helped by the fact it is close to the San Francisco International Airport, which is still one of the area's largest employers. Burlingame is a collection of neighborhoods, each of which has their own distinctive charm.
Area hills protect this community from high winds from the ocean and the heavy fog that can plague the City by the Bay. The temperate climate means that a light jacket is more than enough for most of the year. Many top-rate hotels along the front of the bay make this a prime spot for those vacationing in San Francisco. It is also a great place to live for people young and old. It may not be the biggest spot for nightlife in the West Coast, but it is very close to it.
