Cheyenne
The capital city and largest city in the state, Cheyenne, Wyoming, is home to over 91,000 residents. This city has a historic, rough and tumble past that reflects to this day on what the city has become. What started out in the mid-19th Century as a town of construction workers, and people of questionable characters, has now grown into a city with a multitude of cultural and recreational options.Some of the residents are still colorful, just like past residents here. But for the most part you will find the locals to be friendly and welcoming. The parks here are the envy of any city this size in the nation, and it is home to Laramie County Community College.The largest sector of the economy here is the government of the state. Offices are open in the city, and many residents work at the F.E. Warren Air Force Base, which is located just west of the city. There is also public transportation here during weekdays that residents and visitors to the city can take advantage of.They call this Big Sky Country for a reason, as it has some of the most beautiful sunsets and sun rises that you have ever seen.
