Oberon
Oberon, North Dakota is located in the southern part of the state within Benson County. As of the 2010 federal census, Oberon had only 105 residents. Benson County was established in 1879 by the territorial legislature. The first county government was organized in 1884 and the town of Oberon was founded only two years later. Sullys Hill National Game Preserve, a national wildlife refuge that houses a variety of endangered and native creatures, can be found within Benson County. Due to the area's long history with Native Americans, there also is the Spirit Lake Indian Reservation within part of Benson County.
