Kihei
Kihei, Hawaii is located on the southern portion of the island of Maui. Known for its warm climate and dry weather, the beaches around Kihei are known for tranquility and rich wildlife. In total, there are nearly 40-acres of oceanfront full of possibilities. Largely uninhabited until the 1950's, Kihei has grown into an excellent place for tourists and residents alike to enjoy the sun, sand, and tropical breezes the area has to offer. Add to that the rich amenities, fantastic fare, and plethora of activities and Kihei is now a modern-day island getaway.The area of Kihei has maintained much of its nostalgic 1970's appearance. Though the area thrives with visitors and attractions, it remains one of the more budget-friendly destinations on Maui. Rich with history, visitors will appreciate knowing that the area was once a destination for Hawaiian royalty. Fortunately, you don't have to be royalty to enjoy all that modern day Kihei has to offer.
