Augusta
Wheeless Road is the name of an actual road within Augusta, Georgia but it also refers to the neighborhood that this road is located within. It is one of the most well-defined neighborhoods as its boundaries are all made up of major highways or expressways. The north and northeast borders are created by U.S. Route 78 - U.S. Route 278 - State Route 10 - Gordon Highway. The western border is Interstate 520 - Bobby Jones Expressway. The southeast border is Deans Bridge Road - State Route 4.
To the north of Wheeless Road lies the North Leg neighborhood with Kissingbower to the east, Richmond Hill to the southeast, and Barton Chapel to the west. As of 2013, the Wheeless Road neighborhood had a population of just over 6,000 people while the entire city of Augusta's population was about 196,000.
The area within Wheeless Road also has multiple small bodies of water including lakes and ponds such as Rosedale Pond as well as numerous creeks including Rocky Creek.
