Glen Burnie
Glen Burnie is both a suburb of Baltimore, Maryland and the location of a Maryland District court building. Begun in 1812, the small town went through many different name changes before they finally settled on the current moniker. In 1854, the incorporation of Curtis Creek Mining, and the Furnace and Manufacturing Company by entrepreneur Glen's family resulted in the acquisition of several thousand acres of land. During this time, the city prospered, and today it is the site of many significant historical sites.
