Happy Valley
Mount Scott is located just to the northeast of Happy Valley, Oregon, close to Interstate 205. With a summit of more than 1,000-feet, the Mount Scott neighborhood is actually situated on a section of the Boring Lava Field. Mount Scott, for which the neighborhood is named, is a volcanic cinder cone, which is ancient and dormant. The area around Happy Valley and Mount Scott was developed in the mid 19th Century, with Happy Valley being incorporated in 1965. With just over 14,000 residents, the Mount Scott area offers a small-town vibe with all the conveniences and accessibility that anyone could need. Just six-miles outside Portland, Mount Scott is also close to many area attractions, parks, and much more.
