Derby
The small community of Derby, Indiana is located a short drive southwest of populous Louisville, Kentucky. Situated in the southern portion of Hoosier National Forest, Derby is close to the Ohio River, and just a few miles south of Interstate 64. While there are a few small businesses in Derby, the primary composition of the area is rural residential and farming area, and undeveloped forested land. One of the highlights to Derby is that the Ohio River Scenic Byway runs through the community offering spectacular views of the river and surrounding area. Because of the largely rural area, visitors and residents of Derby often travel 17-miles southwest to nearby Tell City for dining, shopping, and entertainment. For even more options, Louisville, KY is just over an hour away, as well.
