Farmingdale
Farmingdale, New York, is a lively community on Long Island. It is part of the town of Oyster Bay. Farmingdale is the home to Malloy College. Among the exciting programs offered by Malloy College is its nursing program, the fourth-largest in the country. Students can obtain training in one of 50 program areas. The community is also the home to State University of New York at Farmingdale, more commonly referred to as Farmingdale State University. This school offers bachelor’s degrees in biology, business, health sciences, and humanities, along with numerous associate’s degrees and training certificates.
The city is home to Herley New York, a division of General Microwave Corporation. This company makes microwave components and electrical systems for large telecom giants. The city is also home to The Holiday Organization, which builds luxurious planned communities throughout New England. Hub Truck Rental is also located here and keeps people moving throughout the nation with its commercial truck leasing plans. Finally, ICON Central Laboratories is based here doing clinical health studies.
