Imperial
Found in the dusty desert environment of Southern California, Imperial is an inland community and part of the El Centro metropolitan area. You can see some of the coolest birds in the country, play some golf, and spend your summers trying to figure out how to beat the 100 degree heat.
Imperial is host to the annual California Mid-Winter Fair & Fiesta. It used to be called the Imperial County Fair, but now it attracts people from all over the state each February. Imperial is a popular destination for snowbirds. People from other parts of the state and country seeking warmer winters make Imperial their home for at least a few months between November and March. It makes sense, considering the average January temperature in Imperial is 70 degrees.
