El Cerrito, California is located on the shore of the San Francisco Bay. It is in Contra Costa County and has a population of 24,000 people. It is a hilly area covering 4 square miles with a pleasant climate. The transit system is great with a subway line and city buses. The town interweaves residential with natural elements keeping an ecofriendly structure balanced with nature. There are numerous parks and outdoor activities and pedestrian friendly areas. There is a shopping avenue and the town is home to many students who go to UC Berkeley five miles to the south. There are many areas of town that offer views of the Golden Gate Bridge.
