San Carlos
Considered "The City of Good Living," San Carlos, California is located in the county of San Mateo. It has just over 28,000 residents and was home to comedian Dana Carvey, former major league baseball player Barry Bonds, and Kathryn Bigelow, the first female to win the Academy Award for Best Director in 2010. With its small-town feel, San Carlos has plenty of restaurants and shops located in its downtown area as well as two historical museums and its own airport.
