Akron
Akron is the fifth-largest city in Ohio, with a population of nearly 200,000. An industrial town, it’s been nicknamed the “City of Invention”. In fact, several businesses were originally headquartered in Akron, including General Tire, Goodrich, and Firestone; although only remnants remain, the inventive spirit is still very much alive today. Voted as one of the most “livable cities” in the nation by the Nation Arbor Day Foundation, Akron has a unique mix of innovation and creativity that anyone can appreciate.
