Spokane Valley
Spokane Valley is a city within Spokane County, Washington. On its western border you can find Spokane, WA and on the eastern border is Couer d'Alene, ID. Spokane Valley also shares a border with Millwood. This city only became incorporated in 2003 but has a population of almost 90,000 residents. The city of Spokane Valley is sometimes referred to as “The Valley” due to its location in the valley within the Spokane Metro Area.
The city of Spokane Valley is divided into several communities including Yardley, Veradale, Trentwood, Opportunity, Greenacres, and Dishman. In total its area is about 38 square miles which is mostly land. Most of the students living in Spokane Valley attend public schools from the Central Valley School District which includes 22 different schools. There are also several private schools within the area and some students attend schools in the West Valley School District or the East Valley School District.
The Spokane River runs through the neighborhood from east to west. State Route 290, which is E. Trent Avenue, runs through the neighborhood from west to northeast, crossing the Spokane River. Farther south of both these features is Interstate 90 which runs through the center of the city of Spokane Valley.
