Cassadaga
Cassadaga is a tiny unincorporated community that is situated just north of Deltona in Volusia County, Florida. It is well known as being the “Psychic Capital of the World,” thanks to its large population of psychics and mediums. Cassadaga is centered around the Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp which was founded in the late 1800s by George P. Colby. A New York native and medium, Colby had reportedly been directed by his Native American spirit guide named Seneca to venture down to Florida and start a spiritual center. The Southern Cassadaga Spiritualist Camp Meeting Association was formed in 1894 and the Camp now stands amidst 57 acres of lush Florida landscape.
