Callao

An unincorporated community in north eastern part of the state, Callao, Virginia, is in Northumberland County. This small community is home to Wheatland, a historic plantation home that was finished in 1850. It is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and this 2 ½ story Federal style frame house is worth a look if you are in the area. The town of Callao is close to the Atlantic Ocean and the beaches of Virginia, and all of the fun and sun that goes with it.
