El Dorado Hills

El Dorado Hills is an affluent neighborhood situated in El Dorado County in the state of California. It is unique in that it is not incorporated. The population is around 42,000 residents and growing thanks to recent expansion of the neighborhood boundaries. The residents of this fair city are often affiliated with businesses in the county, but live in this rural area. The county itself is integrated economically and socially with the nearby Sacramento area. This city is recognized by CNN Money Magazine as having the high medium household income. It is ranked by the same magazine as having the 77th highest in the nation. This city is a mere 13 miles from the location that started the gold rush. The farming and ranching in the area is still popular.
