Kennesaw
Located just a quick 20 mile drive down I-75 from Atlanta, and in the heart of Cobb County, Kennesaw, Georgia is a historic, friendly town offering both quiet charm and plenty to keep you busy. Dating back to the 1830's Kennesaw stands as a reminder of simpler times in the Southern United States. Kennesaw was a hotbed of conflict during the Civil War, partly because of its proximity to Atlanta, and partly because a rail line ran through the town from Atlanta to Cartersville.
Kennesaw is considered to be one of the safest cities in Cobb County, and across much of Metro-Atlanta. Part of the reason why is due to strict pro-gun laws that were passed in the 1980's requiring every head of every household to own a gun and ammunition. Since that time, burglaries have been on a steady decline and Kennesaw has become a haven for families and young people looking to settle down.
