Stoneham
Stoneham is a small town located in Oxford County in southwestern Maine. It was initially incorporated in 1834, and its last recorded population was 236. It is known for being the setting of Stephen King's popular novella entitled “The Mist.” The greater area is known as Maine's Lake Region, which consists of about 80 square miles of lakes contained within 900 square miles of land nestled between the Atlantic Ocean and the White Mountains.
