Snyder is a tiny community in Colorado, near the city of Brush in Morgan County. You won't find much to do here, aside from chatting with the small tight-knit group of locals that live in the area, but Brush has a population of more than 5,400 people. Home to many senior citizens who have retired to farm in the fertile surrounding areas, the younger folks call them Brushians. The city is named after Jared L. Brush, who once went West in the gold rush of 1859. As a Fifty-Niner, he sought his fortune in the rich deposits of gold found in the Western United States and he ended up settling here in Colorado. Today, if you're looking for “gold” in the area, you'll find some of it in the small town charming, sunny skies, and quaint attractions.
