Home to just over 500 residents, Taylor, Mississippi, is part of Lafayette County. It is located in the southwestern part of the state. This town covers an area of just over four square miles. Many of the single-family homes are new in this small community, and located on spacious and manicured lots.
This is one place that famous author William Faulkner mentioned by name. This small town has an interesting history and culture. It was originally a pioneer settlement that thrived during the pre-Civil War era, and has since thrived as visitors return to this day to enjoy its art and music scene.
Taylor is served by the Lafayette County School District, which performs well when compared to the rest of the state. This is truly a very nice, and quaint place to call home or visit.
