Redfield, Kansas, is a small city located in the center of Bourbon County on the eastern edge of Kansas. Less than 150 people live in Redfield, but the city’s population has been growing in recent years. The city is arranged in grid-like blocks around a central core. The surrounding terrain is mostly fields and farmlands with some wooded areas scattered throughout. Most of the population consists of young families, and healthcare accounts for the largest portion of the city’s economy. Redfield is 20 minutes east of Fort Scott, KS, which is the Bourbon County county seat.
