Lake Forest
Known as El Toro for generations, Lake Forest, California was incorporated in 1991, as it is known today. A thriving community in Orange County rich with agriculture and history and convenient to surrounding areas, Lake Forest is home to nearly 78,000 residents. Whether by coincidence or divine intervention, Lake Forest is considered the 10th safest city in the United States, and is home to notable mega church Saddleback Church, led by Rick Warren. Saddleback Church regularly hosts 20,000 people in the congregation, and remains an icon for Southern California.
Lake Forest is home to several parks, two lakes, a healthy outdoor recreation presence, and is bordered on the northeast by Whiting Ranch Wilderness Park, named for Dwight Whiting, who once planted a Eucalyptus grove spanning 400-acres around the area that is now Lake Forest. Lake Forest is also home to a variety of notable businesses and organizations that provide thousands of jobs to the area. Lake Forest is also conveniently situated only a short drive to the Pacific Ocean, which makes it a haven for beach-lovers.
