A very small, and unincorporated community in King and Queen County, Newtown, Virginia, is located in the northeastern part of the state. Newtown is now a historic district made up of 22 buildings. This district is a throwback to the 19th century crossroads settlement that Newtown once was.
Homes in Newtown are of the single-family variety, detached, and made from frame construction. Newtown also has a grocer, and a family cemetery. In 1982, Newtown was entered into the Register of Historic Places.
Newtown is close to several larger towns with good shopping and dining. This is a quiet, mostly crime-free area, with beautiful scenery, lakes, mountains, and a national park nearby.
