Washington is a small town located in the larger Washington County area of Nebraska. You can find it along the Mississippi River. It was explored as early as 1739, so it holds a lot of rich history. The town itself is incredibly small and can be easily walked from one edge to another. Its proximity to Elkhorn River and Bennington Lake makes it a nice, relaxing place to venture and perfect for fishermen.
Nebraska is a state of wide-open lands and a lot of distance between towns, but there's much to see if you have the time.
