Conception, Missouri, is a small town located in the northwest corner of the state. It is less than 1 square mile and has a population of just over 200 people. This community is located off U.S. Route 136 and is about 10 miles from the town of Maryville, MO. It is also close to Conception Junction, which used to be an important railroad intersection in the area. In addition, this area is home to a rich history that includes the monastery of Conception Abbey.
