A city in Broward County, Deerfield Beach, Florida, is home to over 75,000 residents. It derived its name from the large deer population that once lived in this area. It is part of the Miami Metropolitan Area, and as the name implies, the city does have a beach that faces the Atlantic Ocean.
This is a rather affluent community, with streets lined with towering palm trees. Full-time residents and “snowbirds” that come here from homes in the north during the winter months, enjoy the tropical climate year round. There are several points of interest in the city including an arboretum, two parks, and two public libraries. There are good public schools here, and this is an excellent place to raise a family, and it is close enough to the white hot nightlife of Miami that younger singles love it as well.
Deerfield Beach is served by an excellent public transportation system that includes high-speed commuter rail, excellent for traveling to anywhere in the county and beyond.
