Lancaster
In the heart of Lancaster County, and the county seat, Lancaster, South Carolina is a midsize city with all the charm expected of the Southeastern United States, and plenty of conveniences. Located just over an hour north of Columbia, and just under an hour south of Charlotte, North Carolina, Lancaster is home to just over 10,000 residents in the city, with just less than 24,000 residents in the whole suburban area. As the county seat for Lancaster County, the area around Lancaster was first developed in the late 18th Century. Even today, much of the history of the area remains, including many historical buildings, landmarks, monuments, and parks.
