Greer, South Carolina is a city located in the northwest corner of the state. It boasts a population of 30,000 people and is considered one of the friendliest towns in South Carolina. This is a city that has been built on industry, and this is proven by the number of companies and corporations that call Greer home. One of the largest employers in the city of Greer is the BMW Manufacturing Plant. This assembly plant opened in 1992 and now employs over 12,000 workers from Greer and the surrounding areas.
